Being the sister studio to Mode Manly, which we completed in 2022, we wanted to create a monochromic sister space for the MODE community to thrive in and for their to be a subtle continuity between both studios. Previously a squash court, this space needed to transform to house a reformer studio and mat area, as well as a communal lounge and reception. We sectioned the spaces and added custom curved windows to allow light to filter into the surrounding rooms and added statement black and brass accents to contrast the creamy textured walls.
