Wentworth St Cafe (previously known as Barefoot Coffee Traders)  has been Manly's go to coffee joint for over 15 years. The owners wanted to increase their seating and transform the space so it felt bright and fresh again. ​

In all aspects of the design, we ensured that the loyal locals felt like they could sit, chat and feel revitalised not only by their coffees but also by their environment. 

Context was important to us throughout the entire process. We used Australian manufacturers to create our solid timber tables, curved counter and custom banquet seating. The curves/waves of our leather seating and our tile accents are a reference of the rising and falling tides and the waves of the surrounding beaches. We were also inspired by particular mid-century furniture pieces that explored playful upholstery and curves, whilst keeping a sense of understated luxury. 

With the use of plants, bold furniture, white rendered surfaces and solid timber accents throughout the interior, we produced a space that is unique for Manly but also welcomes locals and travellers alike.
